About The Network

Join us today in our mission to promote scholarship.The Eta Mu Alumni Network is made up of members of Alpha Phi Alpha and Alumni of the Eta Mu Chapter who seek to actively promote scholarship for the benefit of students at the University of Houston. The members are active in the community and with various graduate chapters of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
The Eta Mu Alumni Network is a constituent organization of the University of Houston Alumni Association and collaborates with the University of Houston to achieve shared goals.
In December 2019, the Network established a scholarship endowment by donating $25,000 to the University of Houston Foundation. Since then, the endowment has grown to $50,000, enabling the Network to award a minimum scholarship of $1,000 (Max $2,000 per award). We have a goal to grow the endowmnet to $75,000 in 2025.

"College days swiftly pass, imbued with mem'ries fond" is a line lifted from the Alpha Hymm. It is emblematic of feeling that surge and grow after graduation. The Foundation is is another way to remember, reconnect, and give back.

Members of the Eta Mu Alumni Foundation would like to thank the parents, the university, and other scholarship providers by assisting students in the pursuit of their educational goals. We recognize the economic difficulties inherent in furthering one's education.
CommunityGiving Back
The Univeristy of Houston is a staple in the Third Ward. Community service works hand in hand promoting the benefits of the university as it encourages and maintains diversity.
